DAR Bataan supports CSC’s planting activity

MORONG, Bataan – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Bataan joined the tree-planting activity in Barangay Mabayo, this town, in celebration of Civil Service Commission’s (CSC) 118th year anniversary.
The nine-personnel contingent from DAR Bataan was headed by their HRM officer Gemma Ponce. Agrarian Reform Program Officer Engr. Erickson Reyes also joined.
They bought shovels in planting in the lot assigned to them by the DENR Bataan.
DAR Bataan through the leadership of PARO Engr. Eric San Luis supports the reforestation program in the province.
Twenty seven government agencies and local government units in Bataan planted 3,000 forest trees in Mabayo for the said CSC event a week ago.
“Our activity must be called ‘tree-growing’ not tree-planting since we have to make sure that trees we will plant today would surely grow”, said CSC Bataan Director Ed Cruz told participants during the orientation.
“Echoing the message of the CSC director, Penro Raul Mamac said, “It is actually apt to call the activity ‘tree-growing’. I have already tasked Cenro Bagac to monitor the tree seedlings we will plant, and we will come back here after two months to check the condition of the trees”.
