DepEd-Bataan introduces BOW materials to multigrade teachers

ABUCAY, Bataan – Aimed at training and giving orientation to multigrade (MG) teachers on the utilization of the Budget of Work (BOW) in all learning areas and grading periods, the Department of Education-Bataan conducted a three-day workshop at the Abucay Multipurpose Cooperative Function Hall, this town, Dec. 27-29.



“Ang BOW matrix na ito ay naka-pattern sa ating K-12, pati yung strategies, skills, objectives and competencies. Nilagyan din nila ito ng suggested activities and assessment,” said Ms. Mila Calma, Education Program Supervisor (EPS) for Filipino.


The event also eyes to reproduce and distribute the BOW and Leveled Readers materials to Grades 1, 2 and 3 developed by DepEd and Basa Pilipinas.


The participants include Bangkal Resettlement Elemetary School (ES), Hacienda ES, Jose Abejar Memorial ES, P. Rubiano ES, Quinawan ES, Tubo-Tubo ES, Maite ES, Parapal ES, Kabalutan ES, Eva Aeta ES and Biaan,, Aeta ES.


One of the participants, Ms. Mariquita Banal, a multigrade teacher from Biaan ES, shared the very reason why they were teaching the Aetas, saying, “Ang pangarap namin ay maka-produce ng mga Aeta na nakatapos, naging guro din na balang araw sila na yung magtuturo sa mga kapwa nila katutubo.”
