DOT supports Bataan tourism recovery and reopening

Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat assured full support to the recovery of the tourism industry in Bataan and said that they will continue to assist the Provincial Government should they decide to reopen tourist destinations in the province, during a press conference held at Las Casas Filipinas De Acuzar in Bagac yesterday, January 28.

Sec. Puyat also requested the help of Governor Albert S. Garcia in reaching out to all employees of DOT-accredited and LGU-licensed enterprises as they can avail financial assistance amounting to 5,000 pesos thru the Bayanihan 2 funds.
She also endorsed DTI Small Business (SB) Corporation loans to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bataan that offers ‘4 years to pay, 1-year grace period and 0 interest’.

“Thank you very much Sec. Berna for visiting us here in Bataan at maraming salamat sa lahat ng tinutulong nyo sa tourism industry nationwide and particularly here in Bataan” Gov. Abet said who virtually attended the event.

Also attending the Planning Conference on the reopening of Tourism in the Province of Bataan was Mr. Jerry Acuzar of Las Casas while via zoom were DOT R3 Regional Director Carolina Uy, and Provincial Tourism Officer Alicia Pizarro.
