BALANGA CITY — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Second District Engineering Office (DEO) based here have reported the on-schedule completion of various projects in the first half of the year.

DEO chief, Engineer Reynaldo Venturina, reported that five road repair and rehabilitation projects under his office worth P33.7-million have been completed in the first semester of the year.

“The project completion will significantly improve the traffic situation and tourism potential of the province,” Venturina said.

The projects have reportedly improved the traffic flow in Balanga City, Bagac, Mariveles, Limay, Orion and Pilar making tourist destinations and historical landmarks more accessible to all.

“This is in connection with the booming eco-tourism of Bataan spearheaded by Governor Albert Garcia. The DPWH is putting its effort in creating and maintaining quality roads that will lead tourists in the province,” he added.
