DTI conducts business information and advocacy at the barangay level

The Dept. of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan recently conducted continuous programs in Business Information and Advocacy at the barangay level especially among aspiring entrepreneurs on how to start a business.

Ms. Lizette Befitel conducted Money Management cum Basic Bookkeeping seminar in Bgy Central, Balanga City with their invited guests, Ms. Alysses Alera and Ms. Arriane Cuevas.
In Bgy Tenejero also of Balanga City, the topic was about Product Development or New Product Management which is a series of steps in conceptualization, design, development and marketing of newly created or newly rebranded goods or services, with the objective of cultivating, maintaining and increasing company market share by satisfying consumers demand.

According to DTI Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug, DTI is continuously promoting ease of doing business and facilitating access to micro, small and medium enterprises especially their beneficiaries of the Negosyo sa Barangay as well as the 87 beneficiaries of their program Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) affected by the pandemic. It is not enough, that these beneficiaries received negosyo packages but we need to guide them on how to run their businesses and also to those who lack knowledge on running a business.
Cabahug added that we make sure we continuously stimulate entrepreneurship development especially at the barangay level as they contribute substantially in driving our economy more so in our present situation.
