BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) provincial office based here is scheduled to distribute at least six shared service facilities (SSF) to several active cooperatives in different towns of the province.
In an interview with Tess Magtanong, DTI information officer, P170 thousand worth of food processing equipment will be awarded to Alyansang Nagkakaisang Abukenya (ANA) in Abucay town.
For the municipality of Hermosa, the Mabiga Farmers Development Cooperative MFDC is set to receive P190,000 worth of cashew processing equipment.
“Mabiyayaan din po ng DTI ang KABAKA o ang Kababaihan Tungo sa Kaunlaran ni Cong. Herminia Roman ng First District ng bagoong alamang making equipment na nagkakahalaga ng P153,440,” Magtanong told newsmen
DTI-Bataan provincial director Nelin Cabahug added that a multi-purpose cooperative in Balanga City- the BARB MPC in Barangay Tuyo, will receive a noodle-making machine worth P150,000 while P322,516 worth of food processing machines will be received by Gabon OFW Family Circle in Abucay.
Lastly, the Mabatang Vendors and Bamboo Makers Association in Mabatang, Abucay will also receive assistance from the DTI for their bamboo broom processing project.
