With its grand launching held on Wednesday, the FAB Central Terminal is now operational, ready to cater to commuters. The FAB Central Terminal facility has an area of 4,500 square meters that can accommodate various vehicles. There are also 30 commercial stalls and two restaurant facilities.
The terminal is a joint project of Hausland Group as the developer and the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan. Hausland President Willy Tan said the central terminal is actually a dream for AFAB Administrator Emmanuel Pineda to serve 30 thousand to 40 thousand commuters in the area, a large chunk of which are FAB workers. He divulged he had to convince his partners in Hausland to build the terminal since their expertise is housing. Tan commended the leadership of the Garcias of Bataan for leveling up the quality of living in the province adding it is not farfetched that Bataan could become No 1 in the Philippines. He also cited Mariveles transport group for not being close-minded to the establishment of central terminal.
For his part, Hausland CEO Atty. Ryan Tan said they aim the central terminal to be the nerve center of FAB and a landmark. Pineda thanked Tan for the trust to undertake the terminal project. “This terminal project is beneficial to all, to FAB, to all commuters. Lesser traffic and not being late to destinations of commuters”, he said. Pineda said, “Transport sector is the backbone of economy”.
