Farmers, fisherfolk get recognition from Balanga City government

More than 300 farmers, fishermen, active backyard gardening advocates and barangay officials were recently given recognition awards by Balanga City government for their untiring efforts to promote livelihood.

The recognition rites held during the “Farm Family Day: Paskong Kahanga-hanga ng Magsasaka at Mangingisda” held last December 15, 2025 at Vista Mall honored the influencers of modern technology in agriculture and fishing industry. The city government cited the sector’s crucial role in successful implementation of agri-fishery programs.

During the said event, the City Government, through the City Agricultural and Biosystem Engineers Office, distributed six bancas for 18 fishermen, three tractors and three shallow tube well.
