The Globe Telecom is planning to put up cell sites in Bataan this year as part of its expansion program.
Ernest L. Cu, chief operating officer of Globe, announced during his visit Friday at The Bunker, the one-stop shop at the provincial capitol of Bataan where he was toured by Gov. Albert Garcia.
Cu said Globe Telecom will put up 1,800 cell sites throughout the country this year. The telco’s expenditures reached around 62 billion dollars last year. In 2019, Globe built 1,000 cell sites.
He asked local officials to help Globe facilitate in seeking permit to build cell sites in villages of the province. “Pag tumigil po kami, titigil din ang progreso ng bayan,” said Cu.
