Unity, sacrifice, discipline and sheer determination.
Those were the words of wisdom Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia wanted to convey to all when he delivered his “Araw ng Kagitingan” speech themed “Kagitingan ay Gawing Gabay, Pandemya ay Mapagtagumpayan” during the 79th commemoration of Day of Valor.
In his pre-recorded message aired through the social media, Garcia compared the bravery and heroism of health care frontliners with heroes of World War II after Filipino and American soldiers fiercely fought hand in hand against the Japanese invaders.
“Let us remember that after the fall of Bataan in 1942, Filipinos then endured more than two years of sufferings and sacrifices and fighting before the war ended in the Philippines, in Asia and other part of the world.” said the governor.
World war II,” further said Garcia.
