Governor Albert Garcia believes that through crowd sourcing and with the help of barangay officials, it will be easier to reach the target 1million trees for 1Bataan.

In his message during the launching of 1Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay, Gov. Abet said that to date, 1m41b has reached 281,000 trees. He challenged the audience by saying that if 10% of the population plants 10 tree seedlings each, then it won’t be impossible for us to reach our goal by the end of this year. He hopes that everyone participates in this program.
The following are the guidelines: the tree seedling must be at least 2 feet tall, planted either in the backyard, national parks, or vacant lots in the barangay and the participant/s must submit a photo.

Two years ago, Bataan snatched the Guinness World Record for the most number of trees planted in one hour in a single location where Bataeños were able to plant 223,000 trees in the upland village of General Lim, Orion.
