Governor Garcia asks NBI for a satellite office in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia is asking the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to establish a satellite office in the province to facilitate requests for clearances from jobseekers of the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) and other ecozones in the province.

Speaking before provincial employees during the flag ceremony this morning, Governor Garcia described the growing number of applicants coming from different regions of the country flocking to Bataan to apply in numerous industrial and commercial firms in the existing economic zones and tourism enterprise.

Unlike in nearby provinces in Central Luzon, NBI clearance outlets are operational to provide timely and efficient services to the residents who are required to submit clearances as prerequisite for employment, Garcia said.

He observed that the influx of investors in the highly-sophisticated manufacturing, commercial and business process outsourcing has encouraged job applicants to seek better employment opportunities in the province.

Some of the advantages of having said satellite office, either in Balanga City or Mariveles, would be lower transport cost and minimal time wasted for securing such clearance
