The Municipal Government of Orani is poised to set health protocol for people visiting the popular village for its cool climate and attractive greenery.
Barangay Tala, a mountainous village, about three hours from Metro Manila, host to Sinagtala Resort and Fitness Adventure, Sanctuario Diocesano Dela Sagrada Familia, and the posh Vista Tala has been attracting tourists from different parts of Central Luzon.
Orani Vice Mayor Em Roman said the Sanggunian Bayan is now crafting a municipal ordinance to keep Covid-19 at bay. “Sa Barangay Tala alam natin wala namang coronavirus dyan, pero yung mga pumupunta sa Tala hindi natin alam baka sila ang magdala ng coronavirus,” said Roman.
He revealed that about 14,000 to 15,000 tourists arrive weekly at Tala to visit Sinagtala and the Sanctuario. “You can just imagine those visitors who just come and go without being detected if they are carriers of Coronavirus. Nag iingat lang po tayo,” said the presiding officer of the Orani municipal council.
