Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan opens in Balanga City

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan has officially launched its Balik Eskwela Diskwento Caravan at Plaza Mayor de Ciudad de Balanga, running from May 13 to 15, 2026. The opening was led by DTI Bataan Provincial Director Ei Ocampo alongside agency staff, aiming to provide affordable school essentials and local products ahead of the new school year.

Around 52 exhibitors are participating in the three-day caravan, offering discounted school supplies such as bags, notebooks, shoes, lunch boxes, ballpens, and crayons, with some vendors also featuring buy-one-take-one deals. Fresh organic fruits and vegetables, along with various household items, are also available to shoppers.

The event also highlights products made by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), including handcrafted home décor, beaded flowers, and bags, while showcasing proudly Bataeño-made goods such as cashew nuts, flavored peanuts, smoked and dried fish, bagoong, baked products, gourmet items, and locally produced coffee. Residents are encouraged to visit the caravan before it concludes on May 15.
