Bataan 1st District Rep. Tony Roman and partners signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the scholarship program benefiting non-teaching personnel of the Department of Education (DepEd) Schools Division Office of Bataan and Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) who are residents of the district.
Under the MOA, 50 scholars from Bataan 1ST District will be given the opportunity to complete their master’s degree at BPSU, with assistance covering expenses for tuition fee and thesis completion.
Roman said the program marks an important step toward strengthening the education sector of the province by providing opportunities for professional growth among school personnel working behind the scenes.
The lawmaker cited the importance of recognizing and supporting non-teaching personnel. He also expressed gratitude to DepEd Regional Director Tolentino G. Aquino, DepEd Bataan School Division Superintendent Carolina Violeta, BPSU President Ruby Matibag and others who helped make the scholarship program possible.
