Hermosa hosts Kasalang Bayan 2024: A Celebration of Love and Unity

The Municipality of Hermosa headed by Mayor Jopet Inton is gearing up to host the much-anticipated Kasalang Bayan 2024 on May 8, 2024, inviting all couples who wish to tie the knot to participate in this grand event.

Mayor Jopet said the couples interested in taking part in the Kasalang Bayan are advised to visit the Local Civil Registrar’s office, located on the 1st floor, for inquiries and registration. To ensure a smooth application process, couples are required to prepare the following documents:

Proof of legal age – Applicants must be 18 years old or above.
Proof of residence in Hermosa – Bring documents such as Voter’s Registration or ID Card.
Certificate of No Marriage (CENOMAR) from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
Birth Certificate (PSA Copy)
Community Tax Certificate (CEDULA) – both applicants must present their latest CEDULA.
Two (2) pieces of 2×2 pictures – both applicants
Pre-marriage counseling certificate (for couples aged 18-25).

Additional documents may be required, such as:

consent, advice, or affidavit allowing the applicant to marry (for applicants aged 18-24, accompanied by a parent’s ID if signing at the MCR Office).
Seminar Certificate from the Commission on Population (POPCOM),
Death Certificate of the previous spouse (if applicable) ,
Annulment or Divorce Paper if the previous marriage has been annulled or legally dissolved.

It is important to note that marriage licenses will only be issued ten (10) days after the MCR Office receives the application.

A fee of PHP 150.00 is required for the marriage license. Deadline for application on April 15, 2024.

The Kasalang Bayan, Mayor Inton reiterated, is not just a celebration of love and commitment but also a testament to the unity and resilience of the community.
