Mariveles to put up ‘Bahay Pag asa’

MARIVELES, Bataan – In his bid to help reform the affected drug personalities in this industrial town, Mayor  Ace Jello Concepcion has revealed that the municipality is bent on constructing one more “Bahay Pag asa” here as soon as possible.

Mayor Concepcion said that they are now looking for a site wherein they could  put up another “Reformation center” where the drug users and pushers who had voluntarily surrendered to reform can finally start a new way of life.

 

The eldest son of former Mariveles mayor Jesse Concepcion, who led the town for nine years, the young mayor said there is a need to embrace these people by providing them reformation and rehabilitation program so as to become more productive and responsible citizens in the future.

 

Mayor Concepcion expressed optimism that the drug problem here will be a thing of the past with the dual approaches being launched by the local government led by Gov. Abet S. Garcia, with his all-out support to the campaign, by providing financial assistance and structures such as putting up reformation centers inside Camp Tolentino, another one in Lamao, Limay and one in Barangat Camacho in Balanga city
