Metro Manila hotel and restaurant owners to invest at Mt. Samat

PILAR, Bataan – Bataan Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia has bared that a number of hotel and restaurant proprietors in Metro Manila are planning to invest at the historic Mt. Samat Shrine, a newly created eco-tourism enterprise zone in the upland village of Diwa, this town.

Governor Garcia said the establishment of Mt. Samat Shrine Tourism Enterprise Zone Authority (MSSTEZA) is a big boost to the fast growing local tourism industry.

He explained that several property and real estate developers have realized the favorable gain in such thriving industry with many locators now putting up more hotels as well as world class leisure resorts and entertainment facilities to cater to the influx of international and local tourists.

At present, Bataan has seven economic zones and a tourism enterprise zone giving it a remarkably exceptional status as an investment hub in Central Luzon.

According to the Governor, by any measure, the industrial growth of the province has greatly induced the development of local travel and tourism business for being able to generate the much needed excellent jobs and to ensure inclusive growth and sending massive ripple effect across several industries to include the micro, small and medium enterprises.

Governor Garcia expects the substantial benefits from tourism include economic pursuit generated by industries such as in accommodations, health, travel, airlines and other passenger transportation services.
