Vegetables and other agricultural products in Limay can be availed of in the town’s public market when the cold storage facility is installed before year-end.
Limay Mayor Richie Jason David said on Tuesday that the cold storage facility will benefit farmers, vegetable dealers as well as fishermen who want their produce fresh and safe from spoilage.
Limay farmers and fishermen distribute and sell their products in Kadiwa Store and public market but have a hard time in maintaining freshness of vegetables, fruits and marine products for lack of storage facility.
The said facility was promised to the Limay municipal government last year when Agriculture Secretary Herman Tiu Laurel visited Bataan to inaugurate agricultural facilities in Dinalupihan and Limay towns.
