BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Candidates for “Miss Bataan 2014” showed their winning forms in the swimsuit and talent competitions during the pre-pageant night held at the Louis Restaurant in Balanga City, Sunday night.
The young and talented ladies aged 17 to 22 years represent each of the 11 towns and a city in the province.They displayed various talents like painting, interpretative, cultural and modern dances, dramatization and song number that the big crowd heavily cheered. A 15-minute power interruption due to bad weather did not dampen the spirit of the candidates and the audience.
Jaila Eunice Ragindin, candidate No. 5 of Orani town, was chosen as “Darling of the Press”. Local reporters made their choice during the media launching of the candidates last August 29.
The judges also picked five candidates in “Best in swimsuit” and another five in “Best in Talent”
The winner in each of the two categories and as to who will be crowned Miss Bataan 2014 will be known on the pageant night on September 28.
The candidates have the full support of their respective mayors and spouses. Chief local executives present in the pre-pageant were Mayors Jose Enrique Garcia III of Balanga City, Gila Garcia of Dinalupihan, Benjie Serrano of Orani, Gene Malibiran dela Fuente of Samal, Alice
Pizarro of Pilar, Jesse Concepcion of Mariveles and Ramil del Rosario of Bagac.
The provincial government of Bataan under Gov. Albert Raymond Garcia, in coordination with the Bataan Peninsula Tourism Council Foundation chaired by the governor’s mother Vicky Garcia, organized the search for Miss Bataan 2014.
