In celebration of National and World Teachers’ Day, the Sangguniang Bayan of Mariveles led by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia honors public and private schools in this town for their dedication to the education of their students.
Other SB Mariveles members are Councilor Tito Catipon, Councilor Angel Sunga, Councilor Susan Murillo, Councilor Ronald Arcenal, Councilor Joey Carandang, Councilor Harry Golocan, Councilor Turing Isip, Jaja Castaneda, ABC President Venancio Villapando Jr., SK Municipal Federation President Vincent Charles Banzon, and IP Municipal Representative Manuel Pacayay.
Motioned by Murillo, Chairperson of SB Committee on Education, the municipal council unanimously passed a resolution ‘Recognizing the unwavering service and commitment of all teachers in Mariveles both Public and Private Schools in celebration of National and World Teachers Day.”
SB Mariveles recognizes the contribution and dedication of teachers in this municipality to impart knowledge for the future of their students especially now in this difficult time of Covid 19 pandemic. Earlier, SB Mariveles passed the resolution for the funding of module materials already being distributed in public elementary and high schools in the municipality.
Murillo, representing SB Mariveles, also immediately agreed to give computer laptops to teachers in public elementary and high school in the municipality funded from Special Education Fund when she recently attended Local School Board meeting noting it will tremendously help them in the “new normal” method of teaching.
