Orani prepares vaccine priority list

Barangay health workers, nurses, doctors, barangay tanod, police, municipal health workers, and teachers are among those in the priority list of anti-Covid-19 vaccine recipients in Orani.

Mayor Efren E. Pascual, Jr. disclosed in an interview over the weekend that over 25,000 residents of Orani, excluding children are to get vaccination in the next few months.
About 10,000 senior citizens will be under the provincial government’s vaccine priority. The municipal government allotted P5 million just enough for Orani frontliners.

Pascual said he just received reports from DOH identifying health problems and top killer diseases in his municipality, thus a need for a renewed campaign to enhance basic health programs in the barangays.
“But the keyword here is shared responsibility. We need to localize the health programs and focus on immediate solution to the problems,” said the mayor.
