THE municipal government of Pilar was given a certificate of appreciation by the Philippine Heart Association (PHA) for promoting PHA advocacy campaign on the benefits of adopting a healthy lifestyle during the heart month celebration at the Government Center in Pilar, Bataan.
The certificate of appreciation was signed by Dr. Aurelia Leus, PHA president, and Dr. Orlando Bugarin, chair of Heart Month celebration and vice president of PHA.
Pilar Vice Mayor Marino Caguimbal received the certificate of appreciation during ceremonies and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) exercise at the Government Center.
It was at the said event where PHA declared Pilar as the first CPR-ready municipality in the country.
