PILAR, BATAAN — This municipality is set to receive the province’s first Shared Service Facility (SSF) from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) on Thursday in Barangay Nagwaling.

DTI-Bataan Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug said they are about to turn over a machinery that will be used for food processing.

Cabahug told reporters here that the initial project is worth P215,000 and will greatly help its beneficiaries in making processed meat, banana, and peanut among others.

The DTI chief further added that this is the initial SSF to be given to the micro-entrepreneurs in the province to help them boost their businesses for the next nine years.

The SSF is a project of DTI that aims to further boost the competitiveness and productivity of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in both the domestic and international markets.
