The Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) is closely evaluating the rich natural resources, historical and cultural landmarks for structural transformation to achieve more progressive travel and tourism industry.
Ms. Alice D. Pizarro, provincial tourism officer, has emphasized that the program is strong validation of Bataan’s status as a premiere educational and leisure destination with the approval of the state –owned Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority ( TIEZA), the government promotion agency, of the famous Mount Samat National Shrine in Pilar town to spur private investments.
Ms. Pizarro , former Pilar municipal mayor, has stressed the scope of the particular promotional objective includes identification and improvement of significant historical sites enshrined in the sacred ground of Bataan peninsula.
The transformation aspect would eventually make the province a tourism hot spot with good prospect of ecological experience that combines eco-industrial and agro-forest tourism which would motivate foreign visitors and locators to see Bataan.
Ms. Pizarro said the marketing enhancement processes would help further boost the local economy with the systematic transformation into historical, cultural and tourism hub in Central Luzon.
The former municipal executive, a University of the Philippines (UP) tourism graduate, is expecting more businessmen and locators in the Freeport Area of Bataan, industrial estates and other commercial establishments would provide all-out support by investing in strategic and emerging tourism growth areas.
