It is the second phase of livelihood assistance given to the organization of women (Kaanib) at Brgy. Cataning, their adopted barangay. The first phase was the livelihood skills training for meat processing.
Violence against women and children and anti trafficking law were also discussed to the women beneficiaries and also to the barangay council.
Beneficiaries of the livelihood skills training, conducted in partnership with TESDA Bataan were twenty five (25) women members of Kaanib.
Kaanib is an organization where a woman is made to feel that she belongs to a group. Knowing and feeling that she is a part of something already has a big impact in a woman’s life as well as to the community, for being a part of something develops a woman’s personality, attitude, leadership and capability.
Therefore, if a woman, being the mother and the heart of a home reaches her full potentials and feels important, it can be said that the whole community has already reached its full potentials, too.
Strengthening “Kaanib” as an organization can lead to a lot of opportunities, and this is what this project aims.
The additional skills that each woman member obtains can help her earn additional income without leaving her home and at a very minimal cost.
Beneficiaries of this project will be given a certificate of training completion from TESDA.
