The use of renewable energy is fast becoming a trend at the Freeport Area of Bataan with the entry of Tai Yang 1 Power, Inc.
In its recent social media post, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan stated that the new power firm which will rise on a 27-hectare property in FAB has accepted a capacity offer of 16.5 megawatt to be supplied to the National Grid once operational.
According to Hussein P. Pangandaman, AFAB administrator/CEO, the project will meet increasing energy requirements and expand the use of clean energy sources within the Freeport community. “The project supports the AFAB’s direction to diversify energy generation as it continues to attract more investors,” Pangandaman said.
The project is listed in the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program. Tai Yang 1 Power is one of the proponents of the solar roofing project within FAB’s industrial area under the Citicore Solar Bataan, Inc.
