Members of the Mariveles Sangguniang Bayan are supporting the Rotary Mariveles Community Pantry. Municipal Councilor Susan Madla-Murillo, a member of Rotary Club of Mariveles Ecozone is spearheading the project.
Madla-Murillo said she and Municipal Councilor and Rotary Club of Mariveles Ecozone President Angel Sunga pushed for the project knowing it will be a big help to their constituents in this time of pandemic.
She said her other colleagues Councilors Tito Catipon, Harry Golocan, and Ronald Arcenal also donated for the project.
It will be remembered that members of the Sangguniang Bayan Mariveles led by Vice Mayor Lito Rubia are continuously helping their needy constituents from their own pockets.
Former Mariveles mayor AJ Concepcion also supported the project.
Rotary Club of Mariveles Ecozone and Rotaract Club of Mariveles Freeport have started on Saturday their weekly Community Pantry project.
Their first community pantry project was held in Samaria Heights, Mariveles in cooperation with Samaria Heights Homeowners Association led by its President Marie Madla benefitting about 300 residents.
Madla-Murillo said they will conduct the community pantry in different areas of Mariveles every Saturday.
