Contractors said Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) District 1 strictly implements bidding procedures.
“They have very strict bidding process. Contractors must have complete documents”, said P. C. Valencia Construction Project Manager Alvin Lim.
“Our company experienced here being declared ineligible for two projects due to some issues on required documents that we later accomplished”, he shared.
“The documents must be updated. There are many bidders, sometimes we get lucky”, said Engr. Alfredo S. Macha owner of A. S. Marcha Construction.
“There is no railroading in the bidding process here in DPWH Bataan District 1”, he said.
“The documents complete and the project done properly, payment is facilitated swiftly”, he said.
“In our experience, we did not encounter any red tape here”, he also said.
“We have been to other DPWH districts, we can say that DPWH Bataan District 1 has very good in-place system under District Engr. Boying Flores”, he also said.
The two contractors said the quality of the projects in the district is being ensured.
“The phase and quality of our works are strictly monitored”, said Lim.
