Bataan General Hospital Serves As Model To Health Institutions

The Bataan General Hospital (BGH) is starting to gain national fame as other hospitals and health bodies visit the multi-awarded institution to Front Desk of BGHbenchmark on its best practices.

Health officials from Gabriela Silang Hospital from Vigan City, Ilocos Sur who recently visited the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City, expressed awe over the high technology, procedures; and its newly constructed buildings and sprawling complex.

Headed by Engr. Danilo Estillore, Sanitary Engineer of Ilocos Sur, the group came all the way here just to see and observe for themselves the BGH facilities and operations, now the envy of others due to its modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. “The sequence flow for the patients is impressive. The system and the facilities are well-arranged,” said Estillore.

‘Sagot ka ng Diocese’ takes care of Bataan priests

BALANGA City, Bataan- The Diocese of Balanga has implemented a program it calls “Sagot ka ng Diocese” to show its equal concern for all diocesan priests in Bataan, Bishop Ruperto C. Santos said Monday.

Under the scheme, priests, including the bishop, have standard living allowance. “Pantay-pantay ang tinatanggap kahit sa malaki o maliit na simbahan o parokya madestino,” said Santos, fondly called Bishop Stud.

There are 54 diocesan priests assigned in various parishes in 11 towns and one city in the province. This number does not include 28 other priests under different religious orders involved in Catholic-run schools.

The diocese shoulders payments of all dues of priests with the Social Security System, PhilHealth and the Catholic Bishops Conference.
