DOLE 3 prepares TUPAD emergency employment for calamity victims

BALANGA CITY – As tropical storm “Glenda” (RAMMASUN) continues to makes its way out of the country, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office No. 3, as early as Wednesday, has coordinated with its different Fields Offices all over the region in mobilizing its emergency employment program for marginalized individuals/families affected by the typhoon, says DOLE Regional Director Atty. Ana C. Dione.

Brgy Lamao constructs P50M public market, using its own funds

LIMAY, Bataan- This is a record-breaking news: A mere barangay was able to construct a P50 million public market in cash and without a single centavo loan!

Barangay captain Restituto “Bart” Reyes of Barangay Lamao, said that the construction of their market is in full swing.

When asked if  they secured a loan, as what other local government units (LGU) do, Reyes said ” wala kaming inutang, kundi perang sarili ng aming barangay yong gagastusin sa aming public market.”

Typhoon Glenda updates as of July 18, 2014
