DepEd Bataan hires 227 new teachers

   BALANGA CITY — The Department of Education (DepEd-Bataan) here announced, the other day, that 227 new teachers were hired and assigned in various schools in the Province.

   In a radio interview on “1Bataan Live-on-Air”, a daily news and public affairs program over Poweradio 104.7 FM, Dr. Tarcilla Javier, the Bataan Division Schools Superintendent, said the newly-hired teachers with Teacher 1 items have undergone proper training for their new assignments for the School Year 2014-2015.

Bataan starts massive dredging projects

   HERMOSA, Bataan- Governor Abet S. Garcia revealed yesterday that a massive dredging has been initiated by the Department of Public Works and Highways along the coastal areas of this town and Orani.

   Gov. Garcia said that although the desiltation program being undertaken by the DPWH cannot easily solve the flooding problem in the Province “at least we have started and this will somehow lessen the flooding in the area.

Pampublikong sementeryo itatayo sa Pilar

   Isang panukala ang ipapasok ni Pilar Mayor Alice Pizarro sa konseho upang magtayo ng isang pampublikong sementeryo sa Barangay Bagumbayan Pilar, Bataan. Ayon kay Mayor Pizarro ang pampublikong sementeryo na itatayo sa naturang Barangay papuntang Landing ay may sukat na 1.5 hanggang 2 ektarya para sa kanyang mga kababayang mahihirap na hindi makapaglagak ng labi ng kanilang mahal sa buhay sa mga pribadong sementeryo.

ILLEGAL FISHING NASABAT

   BAGAC, Bataan – Isang bangkang pangisda na may markang Chang Chang ang kinumpiska ng mga tauhan ng Bagac Municipal Police Station makaraang ilegal na mangisda sa karagatan ng Bayang ito kamakalawa ng umaga.

   Dinakip ng pulisya, sa superbisyon ni P/SInsp. Jansky Andrews Jaafar, OIC ng Bagac Municipal Police Station sina Jimmy Carisma, boat Captain, 35 anyos, binata tubong Calinog Iloilo; Jerome Soriano, Machinist, 24, tubong Biliran, Tacloban at 31 crew na pawang nakatira sa Breakwater  Sisiman, Mariveles.

   Ayon kay Jaafar, dakong alas 6:00 ng umaga nang makarating sa kanyang kaalaman na mayroong bangkang nangingisda malapit sa pampang kaya’t agad niyang inatasan  ang kanyang mga tauhan na magsagawa ng operation sa karagatan ng Bagac. Dito na nga natuklasan ng mga pulis ang bangkang may tatak na Chang Chang na pag-aari ni Ismael Alcos ng 105 F, Pascual St. San Jose, Navotas City na nanghuhuli ng isda gamit ang fine mesh nets sa maritime water na sakop ng Barangay Quinawan, Bagac.

SP to summon mayors on land conversion

PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Bataan –The Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) will summon the mayors in the Province regarding the status of land conversions following reports of massive conversion of agricultural lands into commercial, housing and industrial purposes.

Board Member Gaudencio Ferrer told this writer that they are going to send formal communication to city and town mayors to give the Board an update on the extent of their  conversion of agricultural lands  into commercial and industrial purposes.

Influx of business establishments in Pilar town seen

   PILAR, Bataan-Local leaders in this strategic town led by Mayor Alice D. Pizarro, are now making moves in preparation for the expected influx of commercial establishments here.

   But even before this economic development came, this town has already become a magnet for commercial and business establishments with the putting up of the Bataan Government center by then Mayor Charlie Pizarro, now the newly-appointed General Manager of Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA).
