62 barangays receive incentives

During the flag raising ceremony held last Monday at the Bataan People’s Center, 62 out of the 237 barangays of the province were awarded incentives amounting to 50 thousand pesos each for passing the standards set for the 1Bataan Seal of Healthy Barangay for the months of January to March 2026.

Said incentives were awarded by Governor Joet Garcia together with Vice Governor Cris Garcia and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bataan.

One of the recipients, Punong Barangay Jael Petalan of San Carlos, Mariveles shared that achieving the seal serves as the basis to determine whether the programs they implement in their barangay are effective or not.

Meanwhile, Dra. Buccahan reminded everyone that the program is a continuous challenge to the barangay officials to promote more proactive health initiatives and at the same time incentivize the collective efforts of the people.
