The Sangguniang Panlalawigan ng Bataan, during its regular session on May 25 presided by Vice Gov. Cris Garcia approved a provincial ordinance establishing the Bataan Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and Response Program aimed at strengthening adolescent reproductive health awareness and protection mechanisms in the province.
The Ordinance seeks to empower the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children and Teen Information Centers in implementing programs and activities focused on educating young people about reproductive health and responsible decision-making.
The measure also aims to provide better support services for adolescents and address the growing concerns over teenage pregnancy in the province.
The adoption of the ordinance is in line with the provincial government’s continuing efforts to protect the welfare of the youth and promote healthier and safer communities.
