The workforce of AboitizPower comes from Bataan province, according to Ms. Andrea “Morning” Madrid, VP for corporate services, North Luzon, AboitizPower Transition Business Group.
Madrid disclosed during the energy firm’s “Power 101” media tour and information forum held last September 30 at the Mt. Tarak Restaurant in Barangay Alasasin, Mariveles, “We don’t have the exact number of our workers at the moment but we can assure you that 70 percent of our employees are from Bataan”.
The AboitizPower, she said, have around 200 scholars. An outreach program is being sponsored by the company in the province’s remote areas benefitting indigenous people. The power generating firm is also engaged in propagating mangrove trees in Bataan prime coastal areas.
The forum and educational engagement for media and government information officers and media group from Quezon province was hosted by AboitizPower’s transition business group corporate affairs in partnership with the Department of Energy.
