9,000 tricycle drivers in Bataan 2nd District receive ₱5,000 cash aid

More than 9,000 tricycle drivers in the 2nd District of Bataan received ₱5,000 each in cash relief assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through  the coordination of the Office of Bataan 2nd District Rep. Abet Garcia.

Rep. Garcia said the distribution covered 2,385 beneficiaries in Orion, 831 in Pilar, and 3,032 in Limay. An earlier payout was conducted for 3,320 beneficiaries in the City of Balanga on April 8.

The assistance is  part of the government’s continuing support for transport workers affected by economic challenges, particularly rising fuel costs.

Garcia expressed gratitude to the DSWD for the program and assured continued coordination with national government agencies to expand aid to more sectors in the district.
