The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) has strengthened its international ties through the signing of separate Declarations of Commitment and Support with two major Korean organizations — MSQUARE Global and the Global Human Resource Development Institute (GHRDI) — on October 14, 2025, at the AFAB Administration Building in Mariveles, Bataan.
Led by Administrator and CEO Hussein Pangandaman, the agreements aim to establish a framework for collaboration in identifying and developing industrial and human resource projects within the Freeport Area of Bataan. The partnerships include coordinated efforts in information exchange, project evaluation, and the identification of future development opportunities.
GHRDI, represented by President In Sun Choi, pledged to cooperate with AFAB on initiatives related to workforce training, human resource development, and institutional capacity-building. Meanwhile, MSQUARE Global, led by Chairman Byungho Choi, expressed readiness to assess and support potential investment and development projects in the Freeport, expanding AFAB’s growing network of Korean business collaborations.
AFAB assured both organizations of the incentives and facilitation mandated by law as their respective projects advance toward implementation. According to the agency, the twin signings reflect AFAB’s continuing efforts to attract credible global partners and promote mutually beneficial ventures that support industrial growth and workforce excellence in Bataan
