THE Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) in Mariveles, Bataan has required multi-national companies and registered enterprises to submit company protocols and the inventory of personnel who went out of the country and returned to the Philippines within the period of December 2019 up to present.
Engr. Emmanuel Pineda, AFAB chairman and administrator, said his office is closely monitoring with the DOH and the provincial government with regard to movement of both local and foreign workers at the Freeport Area of Bataan with more than 40 active export oriented companies dealing mostly with foreign entities.
The FAB has more than 42,000 factory workers most of whom are Filipinos but many executives and those in the supervisory levels are Chinese, Koreans, Taiwanese and Europeans.
Last week, Mariveles Mayor Jocelyn Castaneda shrugged off reports of alleged worker having been suspected with symptoms of corona virus.
The said reports have yet to be confirmed, she told reporters.
