AFAB: The work must go on

The operation of Freeport Area of Bataan must continue despite the odds– in politics, or otherwise.

Engr. Emmanuel D. Pineda, administrator of Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB), said during Wednesday’s talk with the media in a restaurant in Balanga City that operations at the FAB shall continue unmindful of any political hindrance from any sectors.

“Totoo maaapektuhan din at hindi maiiwasan yan, pero tuloy ang ating ginagawa” said Pineda in a query from reporters on the political situation in Mariveles.

In its report, the FAB has at present 97 registered companies out of which 85 are operational with total employees of 33,887.

Pineda admitted though that export activities were affected by the lockdowns due to threat of Covid-19.
