Balanga City celebrates National Children’s Month

Mayor Raquel Garcia led Balanga City’d celebration of the 33rd National Children’s Month with the holding of Children’s Congress.

In her message, she encouraged children to value self-esteem, express their creativity, and pursue their dreams. “You are the future of Balanga and our country. Use your talents to inspire others,” she told the young participants. She also called on parents to continue uplifting and motivating their children as they grow.

The celebration has the theme, “Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials Wakasan: Kaligtasan at Karapatan ng Bata, Ipaglaban!” highlighting the City’s commitment to keeping every child safe.

Child representatives presented their advocacy on children’s rights especially against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children and Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials.
The celebration also showcased the creativity and confidence of young learners through the Festival of Talents.

Also present during the program were Councilor Jowee Nisay-Zabala, CSWDO Head Lalaine De Leon and other department heads, punong barangays, parents, youth leaders, and members of the City Council for the Protection of Children.
