Bataan all set for the 74th Araw ng Kagitingan celebration

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The Provincial Government of Bataan thru the Bataan Peninsula Tourism Council Foundation Inc. has lined up series of activities in commemoration of the 74th Araw ng Kagitingan and Philippine Veterans Week.

The following are the events that everybody can look forward to: Padyakan sa Bataan on April 2 at Alas-Asin, Mariveles; Drum and Lyre Parade and Competition (Elementary) on April 5 at Plaza Mayor de Balanga; Foot Parade, Parade of Floats, Parangal sa mga Beterano on April 8 starting from Balanga Elementary School, Four Lane or Flaming Sword to Capitol Compound; Commemoration of 74th Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9 at Shrine of Valor, Mt. Samat; and the Freedom Run on April 10 at the Capitol Compound.

With the theme: “Isabuhay ang Kagitingan, Kapayapaan ay Pagkaisahan, Kamtin ang Mithing Kaunlaran”, this year’s celebration is executed not only to exalt the valor of our veterans but also to commit ourselves to strive and work harder in protecting and preserving our freedom.
