PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Bataan- Provincial officials here headed by Gov. Abet S. Garcia and Vice Governor Efren “Bondyong” Pascual, Jr., are targeting to allocate P1.4 billion budget for next year, the biggest ever allotted budget for the province.

This was revealed Monday by Vice Governor Pascual who said that the efficient collections being made collectively by the concerned department heads and  employees had prompted the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP)  to allocate the said amount for next year’s budget.

“In fact, this is the fruit of our collective efforts brought about by the Performance Governance System (PGS) initiated by Gov. Abet; this is a positive sign that we are facing a productive new year by 2015,” said Pascual during Monday’s launching of a three-day sports festival among provincial capitol employees.

Pascual also cited the good rapport between the SP and the Governor, saying this will further encourage the provincial law makers to buckle down to work for the interest of Bataenos.

Board Member Jovy Banzon, Chair of the province’s Finance Committee, said that the P1.4 billion proposed budget allocation next year can be attained but this is in addition to the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) to the province. “Of course, kasama na dito yong IRA natin next year,” said Banzon.
