The Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) led by Medical Center Chief Dra. Ria Baltazar, in cooperation with the Department of Health (DoH) Region III conducted last Wednesday, February 10 a vaccine simulation in preparation for the upcoming roll-out of COVID-19 vaccines to ensure a systematic vaccination for all the frontline health workers in the province.

Based on the simulation, it will take approximately 23 minutes for each frontline healthcare worker to finish the procedure, that is from the time they arrive at the vaccination area up to the time that they have been vaccinated.

They will undergo these 5 simple steps:
Step 1 – checking of body temperature at the designated Waiting Area
Step 2 – present their PRC/Hospital ID for identification at the Registration Area
Step 3 – watch the DOH vaccine video campaign prior to signing the consent at the Health Education and Final Consent Area
Step 4 – checking of blood pressure and other medical concerns at the Screening Area
Step 5 – receive the COVID-19 vaccine at the Vaccination Area, after which, they will be required to stay for at least an hour in a designated area for further observation.

The Provincial Government of Bataan and the BGHMC are continuously coordinating with the Department of Health (DOH) and other concerned agencies for updates and recommendations to further improve the vaccination process once the vaccines are ready for roll-out.
