The Provincial Government of Bataan, through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), proudly presented the province’s “Best Practice” — the Bataan EduChild Parenting Program — during the 77th National Convention of the Philippine Association of Social Workers, Inc. (PASWI) held on October 24 at the Chavit Singson Coliseum in Vigan City, Ilocos Sur.
The event gathered more than 2,000 registered social workers from across the country, providing an avenue to share successful initiatives and strategies that strengthen social welfare and community development. Representing Bataan Governor Joet Garcia, Mrs. Maria Cristina V. Lopez, Head of PSWDO, together with Mr. Christopher M. Galgo, OIC-Chief of the Social Welfare and Development Division, presented the province’s flagship parenting program.
The Bataan EduChild Parenting Program was highlighted for its significant impact in promoting responsible parenting and strengthening family values among Bataeño families. The presentation served as an inspiration for other local government units, emphasizing the importance of community-based programs that nurture both parents and children towards a more compassionate and empowered society.
