CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The Masapsap Irrigators Service Association (MISA) of Masapsap, Orani, Bataan has been a partner of the National Food Authority – Bataan Provincial Office in its palay procurement program since 2008.
Since then, MISA members have been active sellers of their palay to the agency that they gradually accumulated their Cooperative Development Incentive Fund (CDIF) reaching Php208,208.30 as of August 2016. This amount is so far, the biggest CDIF ever accumulated by a farmer organization in Bataan.
As encouraged by NFA-Bataan Manager Adelaida C. Nuestro, MISA opted to withdraw the CDIF to buy fertilizer for the needs of their members in the next planting season.
On September 9, 2016, MISA Chairman Celestino Cura, together with other officers received from NFA a check worth Php199,879.97 for the payment of 228 bags of fertilizer to be distributed to their members.
