Ceremonial releasing of Pawikan Hatchlings

On February 23, 2026, a total of 336 Olive Ridley sea turtle hatchlings filled the shoreline of the Sagip Pawikan Hatchery in Morong as the Environment and Natural Resources Office (ENRO) Bataan in partnership with AboitizPower GMEC-GNPD led the Ceremonial Releasing of Pawikan Hatchlings under the SAGIP Pawikan Conservation and Protection Project.

Said activity was also conducted in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Local Government Unit of Morong and Sagip Pawikan Sitio Fuerte Association.

Among the attendees were Board Member Angel Sunga, Board Member Romeo Austria, Mayor Leila Linao-Muñoz, Councilor Jomar Castro, OIC PG ENRO Raphael De Leon, Provincial Tourism Officer Danica Lolita Rodriguez, CENRO Brenda Clemente, AboitizPower RSM Manager Joseph Paolo Mendoza and Sagip Pawikan President Arnold Mendoza.
