Bataan Governor Abet Garcia disclosed that a private company is eyeing to build socialized housing project in Mariveles town.
The governor said Metro Stonerich Corporation Chairman of the Board Ibrahim Nuno spoke to him of the company’s keen intention to initiate housing venture here.
The company official personally met the governor in the latter’s office at the modern capitol building called “The Bunker” a week ago.
The socialized housing project would cater informal settlers in the industrial town of Mariveles.
Garcia said the project could be undertaken through the public-private-partnership scheme. The province has created Bataan Public-Private Partnership Investment Center.
He said the provincial government is continuously coordinating with other government agencies to find similar projects that would help Bataan folks especially in this time of Covid 19 pandemic.
