Mayor Gila Garcia is boosting the anti-TB drive in the municipality of Dinalupihan. The local government unit has partnered with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the program “TB Platforms for Sustainable TB Detection, Care and Treatment” that aims to improve TB situation in the county.
A week ago, residents from Barangays Bayan- bayanan, Pita, Payangan, Tubo-tubo, Roosevelt, and Saguing received free chest x-ray under the program.
Councilor Amy Muli-Sandoval said accommodated in the health activity in the villages were Aetas or with Aeta blood.
Mayor Gila earlier said, “The initiative is part of our integrated tuberculosis response amid the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Garcia stressed, “We will find and treat our kababayans with the disease”.
Screenings are conducted in the villages to identify ”high-risk individuals and assess the necessary health interventions needed to prevent or cure TB disease.
The program will be continue in Dinalupihan until next year, it was learned.
