The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the widening of Gov JJ Linao Road in Pilar, Bataan.

Bataan 2nd District Engineering Office (DEO) facilitated the timely completion of the 1.8 kilometer-portion of national road.

DPWH Acting Secretary Roger Mercado said this aims to enhance mobility along the area and provide better access to economic activities in the province.

A total of P42.7 million was allotted under the 2021 General Appropriations Act for the 3.2-meter road widening project.

DPWH Bataan 2nd DEO also implemented improvement of the road shoulder, drainage canal, concrete slope protection as well as guardrails and solar street lights for the safety of motorists.

“More DPWH projects are in the pipeline to improve not only the travel experience but more importantly to support economic development of Central Luzon,” Mercado emphasized.
