DPWH installs 5 overpasses

ORANI, Bataan -To ensure the safety of the public and the motorists, the Department of Public Works and Highways is installing five overpasses along the busy Roman expressway.

This was learned from District Engr. Erlindo “Boying” Flores, 1st DPWH engineering district, who said that they have started installing an overpass for the safety of the public and the motorists along the national highway, now the busiest highway in the province.
First to be installed was in Balanga highway, a busy national road that connects all the way to Mariveles.
Engr Flores said that the four other overpasses will be installed in Palihan, another in Orani highway, right in front of the DPWH office, one in Gugu, Samal and one more in Abucay, a busy crossing road for students going to and from Colegio de San Juan de Letran in Upper Abucay town.
Earlier, Gov. Abet S. Garcia called for a meeting with top officials from DPWH, DENR, PENELCO and other concerned government agencies regarding the rising number of road accidents along the Roman highway.

 

Gov. Garcia wanted that these road accidents be minimized, better still be avoided to protect the riding public and motorists.
